Pastor Matt brought a word to wake up the church. After finishing the series of the 7 churches in Revelation. Pastor takes us through the word again, that when judgment day comes, we won’t be standing before God with our spouses, our siblings, our relatives, families etc. it’s just you and God - That’s the unavoidable appointment, whether we are saved or not.

The sermon title was “Unavoidable Appointment”

Reading Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 ESV
“Our only goal is to always please the Lord, whether we are living here in this body or there with him. We must all stand before Christ to be judged. Everyone will get what they should. They will be paid for whatever they did—good or bad—when they lived in this earthly body.”

Being faithful to God plays a huge part in our walk with Christ. It’s not just saying we are His children on certain days but living a life that actually pleases Him, everyday. He is our strength, He is supposed to be the joy of our strength.

Don’t play with God, if you’re not done playing. Go get a ball and come back whenever you’re done playing. Then ask for forgiveness.

First Lady Martha is reminding the church to do what is right - what is pleasing to God and when we know what to do and we don’t do it, it’s a sin. (James 4:17).

It’s our responsibility as the church to not only speak the truth but to reflect God’s truth in our daily living.

We were reminded of the power of the Church and the three powerful pillars that strengthen the Body of Christ:

1. The Power of Prayer 🙏🏽
2. The Power of Unity 🤝🏽
3. The Power of Witnesses/Proclamation of the Gospel 🗣️

When the Church prays together, walks in unity, and boldly proclaim the Gospel, it strengthens the Church.

May we continue to seek God through prayer, walk together in love and unity, and boldly share the Gospel wherever He sends us. May the Holy Spirit empower us to live out our faith with courage, love, and boldness.
