While endeavoring to build & maintain a well-balanced family ministry, we always emphasize a faith-relationship with Jesus Christ. Being a part of the family of God is

the most important aspect of our lives, & being a part of a church family is vital to us as well. Those who have committed themselves to the life and mission of Neighborhood Chapel, are finding that a fresh new dream is emerging, & that God is making Himself known in personal ways every day.

Think “Mission!” Chapter 45
Missional thinking factors large into our efforts to welcome and integrate new…and previously un-churched people…into our fellowship. As you have likely heard; first impressions are really important. Individuals who are sizing us up to determine if this is a place for them to connect, are beginning to do so as soon as they come into view of our properties. Are our buildings and grounds clean and well-manicured? How welcoming and inclusive do we seem to be, as they get out of their vehicle and approach the entrance to the building? How engaging are our members in having conversations with them; learning about them in an effort to know who they are? How presentable are our inside facilities – our lobby, our restrooms, our nursery? What is their overall impression of our friendliness; based upon the assertiveness of our constituents to approach and include? Do we quickly make them feel an essential part of our group? Do we express a genuine love for each other and for the Lord, and is that reflected in their whole experience while they are involved with us? You can begin to understand how this mission needs the active involvement of each and every person who considers Crossway Church to be their church home. Make no assumptions; leave no question as to whether new people are quickly being folded into the family life and chemistry. Many of us come to church with a host of pressures and problems that tend to want to consume us. But…it is really important that we learn how to set those matters in the lap of God…so that we can be free to focus ourselves outward and be instruments for engaging and connecting others. Statistics suggest that our window of opportunity for selling ourselves and our church community to others, is a small window. We may only get one chance. That is a chance we have to take…and do well.
