Hello Everyone! I am happy to report that I am recovering from an accident where I tangled with a Semi, both parties walked away with only bruises and me with back and neck pain. I am grateful to God for his protection, the story is actually stranger than fiction:
At approximately noon on interstate 5, I was nearly sideswiped by a truck merging onto the freeway. I did not see him until he almost hit me and I swerved to miss him and nearly hit another car on my left. I swerved again to miss the car on my left, which I did. but just when I thought I made it through, my car began to fishtail and finally spun out of control. I spun around and hit a semi on the front passenger side bumper, and spun around some more and stopped 90 feet inside the brush when I hit a tree. The car began filling up with smoke from the airbags that deployed saving my face from the steering wheel or windshield. But now I could not breath, or get out my door. I heard yelling behind me coming from witnesses trying to help me out of my car. The front doors were not able to be opened because I was so deep in the brush, so I unlocked the doors for the me to hopefully open the hatch, but for some reason they couldn't get it open. They were yelling for me to stay back because they were going to try to find something to break the window. I climbed into the back seat, gathered my purse, laptop and water bottle and tried the passenger back door. It opened only a couple of inches, but just enough for me to squeeze through and I was able to climb out of the sticker bushes.

You don't have to believe in my God to know that something supernatural happened on the freeway that day. Witnesses said that they were sure that I was going to flip, and only myself and the semi were in the accident at noon when there were a lot of people on the freeway. There was no blood at all at the scene of this accident. There was an EMT on the freeway behind us and noticed a semi parked on the freeway; thinking that was odd, decided to stop and see what was up. My car was not visible from the street so she found it odd that there was a group of people looking into the bushes. She was walking up as I was walking out of the bushes...she was on her way home from work. My car was absolutely totaled, and my back and chest were super sore, and I was having a hard time talking due to smoke inhalation from the airbags.

For the next month and maybe more, I have 3 chiropractic and massage appointments per week. I am on the mend, and wish to thank everyone who messaged me well wishes and prayers.

We just received another donation from Sportsman’s Warehouse of work jackets. (The brand is Wasatch and is a generic brand comparable to mens carhart. Sizes we were given are large, xlarge, and 2xl.) message me if you need or could use a work jacket.

We are in transition. Due to Covid19, the offerings of SSDC are difficult to plan and execute. Short of just setting up a table in the park with clothes and food, I just do not know how to be able to continue the door to door outreaches at this time. The office that I had will not allow me to meet with anyone even if only one person at a time, and they are planning to sell the building as soon as they are able.

We are actively seeking solutions to all these barriers. We intend to continue youth programs with limited amount of attendees, and counseling. We are still accepting clothing and non perishable food donations at this time. And we will be giving clothing and food out as needs arise. By appointment only. We are also partnering with YMCA, Ray of Hope, and HelpNorthwest and sharing the donations we receive to make sure that the people who need these items the most are receiving them.

If you call our office, please leave message as We have taken on full time jobs to be able to offer these services for free and low cost.
