Every day at thousands of community centers, high schools, middle schools, juvenile institutions, coffee shops, and local hangouts, YFC staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. Every county tells a story. Every number represents a young person.

Across our seven-county service area, nearly 60,000 youth ages 11–19 are growing up with unique challenges and incredible potential. Thousands are disconnected from a local church, many are facing difficult circumstances, and every one of them deserves the opportunity to hear the hope of Jesus Christ.

Our new county snapshots highlight the needs and the opportunities in Chambers, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Randolph, Russell, and Tallapoosa Counties.

Today we had the honor of attending the 2026 High School Graduation Ceremony at the Lee County Youth Development Center. As part of our Juvenile Justice Ministry, we meet with teens there several times a week for Bible study. Our Executive Director Tabitha Vasilas gave the commencement speech encouraging this graduate to make walking with the Lord a priority in her life forever!

I am not sure there's anything that compels you more to continue telling youth about Christ than viewing one in a casket. Today we went to the funeral of an 18 year old. A young man who we spent months investing in, teaching about Jesus, praying with, and watching grow in his walk with Christ. The urgency of the assignment hits different when the reality of eternity comes sooner than expected.

Please pray for his family as they grieve this sudden loss and for us as we continue the work of reaching youth for Christ. For some, we may be the only chance they have to hear about Jesus and for others we may be the last.

Incarcerated youth still have hope. God hasn't written them off and neither should we. 🙏
