God spoke...and it was. (Genesis 1)
God's Word creates...
He spoke all of creation into existence. His Word continues to speak life and faith.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)
God's Word comes to us in Divine Service, spoken by lay readers, sung in hymns and preached by the pastor.
