We’re looking forward to worshiping together this weekend! 🙌

Here’s a little preview of what we’ll be singing together as we gather, and we’d love to have you join us.

We’ll also be continuing our God’s Design series with something a little different: Pastor Craig will sit down with several married couples from our church for a conversation about marriage, what they’ve learned along the way, and what it looks like to pursue God’s design together.

Before we start evaluating our spouse, maybe we need to examine ourselves.

Am I abiding in Christ? Am I listening to His Word? Am I surrendering to Him? Is His Spirit producing His character in me?

Because we can't reflect a God we don't know.

God's design for marriage was never meant to be lived independently from Him. The faithfulness, forgiveness, sacrificial love, and grace we need to extend to our spouse are first demonstrated perfectly to us by God.

We can't expect to live out God's design while ignoring the Designer.

God knows what we need before we ever recognize the need ourselves.

In Genesis 2, God looked at Adam and knew exactly what was missing—not because Adam had figured it out, but because God was the Designer.

And His answer was a “helper comparable to him.” Not inferior. Not an assistant. But someone like him, distinct from him, and uniquely designed to correspond to him.

When we want to understand God’s design for marriage, we start by looking to the One who designed us in the first place.

This weekend we went back to the beginning.

Before sin. Before brokenness. Before all of our opinions about what marriage should be—there was God's design.

Genesis 2 reminds us that God created us with purpose, gave us His Word as our authority, and designed marriage as a gift. And underneath everything we'll talk about in this new series is one important question:

Do I trust the Designer?
