It may not feel like it, but Fall is just around the corner!

We will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat at Trinity Baptist on Wednesday, October 28th!

If you plan to decorate trunk, please let Glen know so we know how many spots we need 😁

If you would like to donate candy/treats, please bring it to Glen by October 21st.

Please be in prayer for the family of Bro. John Tanner in the passing of his mother.

Margaret Elizabeth Tanner, born December 24, 1940, passed away on August 28, 2026. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 6p- 8p and Thursday, September 4, 2026 from 6p-7p. A service to follow on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. also at Lawson Funeral Home 4532 Highway 53, Hoschton, Georgia 30548. Officiating will be Pastor Frankie Green.

Please be in prayer for the family of Alex Hicks as they grieve the loss of his precious mother. We ask that God surround them with His peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM at Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Tonight in Children’s Church, Bro. Ryan Shirley shared a powerful message from 1 Peter 3:15:

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you…”

He used this verse to teach our students how to share the Gospel with others in a simple, practical way:

1. Share your life. Live a godly life in front of others so they can see Christ in you.

2. Build a relationship. Take the time to know people, love them, and build trust.

3. Share your testimony. Tell them what God has done in your life and how He has changed you.

4. Tell them how to be saved. Keep it simple! We don’t have to complicate the Gospel. We can use something as simple as John 3:16 or the Romans Road to clearly explain the way of salvation.

5. Invite them to church. Give them an opportunity to come hear the Word of God and be around other believers.

Ryan also reminded our students that our job is to share the Gospel, not to save people. We cannot make someone believe. We simply faithfully share the truth and leave the results in God’s hands. We also don’t need to push someone who isn’t interested or doesn’t agree. We are called to be faithful witnesses and to love people.

After the lesson, our students had the opportunity to practice presenting the Gospel to adults and other children in the room. Watching them step out and share what they had just learned was such a touching reminder of our responsibility as children of God. ❤️

Not every student gets an opportunity to learn how to share the Gospel in such a practical and personal way, and we are so thankful that our kids were given that opportunity tonight!

Thank you, Ryan, for investing in our students and teaching them not only to know the Gospel, but to be ready to share it. And thank you to Glen & Melissa Rowe, Elizabeth Shirley, Marsha Trubey, and Sarah Clay who helped our students practice tonight!

What a blessing to watch the next generation learn to “be ready always” to give an answer for the hope that is in them! ❤️
