FPC Auburn is grateful to continue supporting the wonderful work of the Domestic Violence Intervention Center through our Pentecost Offering this year! Although the PC(USA) no longer includes this offering in its Special Offerings calendar, last month our session voted unanimously to continue this meaningful tradition, with 100% of the offering going directly to DVIC.

You can participate by placing your gift in the offering plate, mailing it to the church office (please note "Pentecost" on the memo line or envelope), or by giving online at www.fpcauburn.org/give and selecting “special offering.”

Thank you for your generosity and for helping us continue to support our neighbors in need!

We look forward to inviting Dr. Mark Douglas to Auburn on Wednesday, May 13th! Both of his events are open to the public:

"Faith in Complicated Political Times"
Wednesday, May 13th, Rev. Dr. Mark Douglas—ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and Professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Theological Seminary will lead two engaging sessions on "Faith in Complicated Political Times".

Join the OLLI Brown Bag lunchtime talk (11:30am–1pm, Sunny Slope Annex, 1031 S. College St.) on “Christian Nationalisms, Social Media, and Public Religion,” exploring how digital media is reshaping religious narratives and what we might learn from another time when a revolution in media reshaped the religious landscape: the rise of printed material at the beginning of the Reformation.

Then, attend the evening workshop (5–6pm, First Presbyterian Church, 143 E. Thach Ave., Conway Hall) on “When Red and Blue Don’t Make Purple,” examining political dysfunction and how persons of faith might go forward not only in the face of our dysfunctions, but maybe in ways that diminish the chaos that such dysfunction creates. Light refreshments provided for the evening session.

Sacred Community Project – Your Support Matters!

Over the last several weeks different voices have spoken in worship about the Sacred Community Project, a $400,000 effort to strengthen and care for our church campus. This project focuses on eliminating sanctuary repair debt, renovating Baird Hall, and growing our Capital Replacement Fund for future needs.

We gently encourage everyone to submit their gifts by this Sunday April 26.

Contributions can be made online at www.fpcauburn.org/give or by check to the church office (please note "Sacred Community Project" in the memo line.)

Every gift, large or small, helps ensure our spaces continue to support worship, fellowship, and service for years to come.

Community Market of East Alabama is officially in their new location at 1600 1st Avenue in Opelika! We're so excited to have been a part of making this much-needed and beautifully upgraded space a reality - addressing the ever-growing issue of food insecurity in our community.

Many thanks to all those who contributed to the Community Market's capital campaign as a part of our church's 175th year celebration in 2025 and ongoing gratitude to all who continue to volunteer on behalf of our congregation at the Market!
