Today we discussed redemption and how God paid the price for us by having Jesus die for our sins to redeem us.

The verse for this week is

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness for our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Hey everyone! This week we had a week of review and scripture memory practice. We are so proud of all the kids! They are doing fantastic on their verses! See you all next week!

Mother’s Day!

What a wonderful class celebrating our mothers and making special projects for them.

Our verse was Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you."

We watched a sweet video about mothers and shared some favorite memories and activities we get to do with our mothers.

5/2/21: Armor of God

- This week we talked about the armor of God and how dressing ourselves with it daily will help us stand against the devil when we are tempted to do wrong.

- Verse: Ephesians 6:11: Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take a stand against the Devil’s schemes.”

4/25/21: Forgiveness

- This week we talked about the parable of the unforgiving servant. The king forgave him, but then he refused to forgive and show the grace he had been given. Forgiveness pleases God!

- Verse: Ephesians 4:23- Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Curriculum!! What exactly are we teaching and how are we teaching it?? Let me tell you!

Our church subscribes to a media resource called RightNow Media. This app has all Christian resources available to you for FREE through our church! Kids shows, Bible studies, everything! Right at your fingertips. Here’s how to access:

1. Go to the church’s website (www.auburnalliance.com) and in the top right hand corner there will be a drop down menu. Click there, and then drop down the tab that says “resources.” There you will find a button that says “RightNow Media” and it will lead you to create your own information to access the app.

2. Go to the App Store on your phone or tablet or tv and download the RightNow Media app. It’s free!

3. Use your information to sign in and BAM! You have access!

For Sunday School, we are using a video series called “Theo: Teaching Children God’s word.” We are going in order. The children really seem to like these videos! Watch at home throughout the week and allow Jesus to fill your home with His word and teachings.

4/18/21: Loving Obedience
-This week we talked about obedience and how Jonah disobeyed God, and God forgave him. Jonah then chose to obey and do what the Lord told him to do.

- Verse: John 14:23a- Jesus replied, “anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.”

4/11/21: Faith
The first week of Sunday School! This week we learned about Abraham and Sarah in the Bible, and how they had faith that God would keep his promise in blessing them with children.

- Verse: Hebrews 11:6 - “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Happy Monday everyone!! Jena and I want to welcome all of the kids who have been a part of Sunday School the past few weeks, and we are so excited for the weeks to come! This page is designed to be a drop-off for the songs and verses and stories we will be using during our group time on Sunday, allowing you to keep up-to-date with what we are doing and even allowing your kids to re-watch the songs and videos!
