The annual celebration was founded in 1974 by Reverend P.A Johnson (deceased), Reverend John Humphrey(deceased), Reverend Ronald Agee (deceased), Reverend Keylon (deceased), and Honorable Bishop W.W Murray, who is the sole surviving founder.

Join us for the 47th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration at on My 15th, 4:30 pm - "The Struggles Continue: Our Voice, Our Vote!" Pastor Paris Price of the Harriet Tubman AME Zion Church, Auburn will be the Keynote Speaker, the community's children will recite excerpts from Dr. King's jailhouse letters and of course there will be music!

The 47th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Citywide Celebration in Auburn, postponed from its original date in January, will now take place at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15.
