VBS Day 2 – The Sorrowful Mysteries
Today was another wonderful day at VBS as we explored the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.
Our morning began with Mass, followed by music where the children enjoyed singing fun, upbeat songs along with learning beautiful new songs for Mass. There was plenty of excitement throughout the day with kickball, bubbles, jump rope, and lots of fun during recess.
During craft time, our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students created colorful bubble paintings. As they painted, they learned that the Sorrowful Mysteries remind us that Jesus experienced difficult and painful moments. Just as bubbles may pop but leave behind beautiful colors, God can bring goodness and beauty from our struggles when we trust in Him. At the end of crafts, they had time for Bible character charades, that brought out lots of giggles.
Our 3rd through 5th graders made mosaic crosses. They reflected on how a mosaic is made up of many small pieces that come together to create something beautiful. In the same way, when we offer our hardships and challenges to God, He can use them for good.
Today’s snack was a fun and meaningful treat—edible rosaries made from Cheerios, strawberries, and Kit Kats! The children are loving the creative ways we are connecting our faith lessons to each day’s activities.
We are grateful for another blessed day of faith, friendship, and fun, and we look forward to all that Day 3 has in store! ❤️🙏📿
