A Garden for Our Mother // "Totus Tu Hortus, Maria: Mary, this Garden is Totally Yours!" 🌸🌼🌷

We are so excited to begin the communal project of beautifying our Grotto Garden in honor of our Blessed Mother! Would you like to help make this project happen? Read below for how to get involved!

🌹Donating Plants:

If you are interested in donating plants to the Grotto Gardening project, please stop by the gathering space after Sunday Mass or the parish office during the rest of the week to pick up your designated plant commitment sticks. The chosen plants were selected for these beautiful reasons:

- Butterfly Bushes: So the children can chase the butterflies
- Bleeding Hearts: Representing Mary’s heart when her Son is hurting
- Lamb's Ear: To remind us of the Lamb of God
- Ground cover Sedum (White preferred): Representing the clouds of Heaven
- Glory of Snow (Seeds only): Celebrating the Resurrection
- Myrtle: Celebrating the love of the Savior
- Lavender: Bringing peace and healing to all who enter the Grotto
- Rose of Sharon*: Signifying the intimate love between God and humanity (*Pods of Rose of Sharon or tree sprigs are most welcomed to begin growing the Rose of Sharon wall)

How to transplant your plants:

Perennials renew; therefore, Mary's Garden only needs some of your plants. To make this happen, it is IMPERATIVE that the roots are also included in the clump of the perennial plant. When digging the plant out, dig deep to include the roots so the roots can take hold in their new garden. Giving Mary part of your perennial plants doesn't mean you lose your plants; it will actually help your plants flourish. Limited pot supplies are available for transplanting.

Plants may be returned to the wall behind the Grotto between May 30 - June 2.

🌹Gardening Day:

The gardening itself will take place on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6. Please save the dates and stay tuned for more information if you would like to join!

Water Main State of Emergency Update

The Auburn Hills police department has requested that St. John Fisher remain closed due to the State of Emergency in Auburn Hills.

After the 10 AM Mass, the building will be locked and there will be no access to the building or restrooms.

WE DID IT — together we raised over $72,000 for Grizzly Catholic Campus Ministry! 🎉🐻

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second annual Grizzly Catholic Night last Friday, along with our generous sponsors and matching gift donors, for making this incredible evening possible.

A special thank you to Fr. Brian Meldrum for serving as our MC, and to our student speakers, Eddy and Sammi, for sharing their powerful witness of how God is working in their lives through Grizzly Catholic.

We are so grateful for your prayers, generosity, and support of this mission. Thank you for helping us invest in the lives of college students! 💛
