Tomorrow is our last scheduled Sunday off for a while before we head into a very full September at The Homestead!

We’re going to enjoy the Labor Day weekend, rest, spend time with our people, and then come back ready for all that’s ahead—including our Regional Gathering Weekend with Damon Thompson, September 26–27.

Enjoy the long weekend. Enjoy your people. We love our Homestead family, and we’ll see you next Sunday!

Damon is a dear friend, spiritual father, and trusted apostolic voice to our house. We’re deeply grateful for the relationship he carries with The Homestead-Aubrey and the way he continues to speak into who we are becoming as a family.

A little different rhythm this month, so save this schedule and keep it close.

We’ll take Labor Day weekend to rest with our families, gather throughout the month for worship and youth, and then close September with a special weekend together with Damon Thompson.

We come together to turn our attention toward Jesus, worship Him, and make room for the Holy Spirit to move among us.

There’s something beautiful about gathering as a family with one desire—to know Him, love Him, and encounter Him together.

There are places only surrender can take you.

No performance. No pretending. No need to have all the right words.

Just a people learning again and again that His presence is worth our whole attention.

This Sunday, we gather around the only thing that has ever been the center of this house: Jesus + nothing.

We understand this is a little different—but we’re not running a business and calling it a church. We’re building a family and calling it The Homestead.

That’s why we intentionally schedule days from time to time to rest, connect, enjoy our children, gather with friends, and simply be together.

We don’t believe there’s a sacred and secular divide. We are children of God, filled with His Spirit, and all of life with Him is holy.

The tangible presence of God as we worship together is holy. A day at the lake, a trip to the park, a meal around the table, or a quiet Sunday at home with the phones put away—that’s holy too.

One isn’t more spiritual than the other. In a healthy family, each fuels the other.

So this Sunday, enjoy your people. Be intentional. Rest well. And we’ll gather again next week.
