It is my opinion that the western church has missed the mark and is too concerned with numbers and less concerned with the task given by Jesus Christ, which was given in the Gospel of Matthew, Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. I am committed to caring for the poor, homeless and needy in my community and around the world by first providing for their physical needs, and secondly by sharing the redemptive love of Jesus through His Gospel and His power to break the shackles of oppression and addiction. We are here to serve the Lord and to help those who are struggling with homelessness, or are in jail or recently released.
