In 1 Corinthians 12:1–3, we are reminded that Jesus isn’t just part of our lives. He is Lord of our lives.

Simply saying, “Jesus is Lord,” means little if our lives don’t reflect that truth. Paul reminds us that no one can truly confess Jesus as Lord apart from the work of the Holy Spirit.

The foundation of our salvation is recognizing that Jesus is Lord, and we are not. When we are united in this truth, there is no room for self-glorification or comparison. It doesn’t matter who has what gift or position. We are all part of Christ’s body, and everything we have comes from Him.

Jesus is Lord. Our lives should reflect it.

Build your life on the right foundation.

Everything we build depends on what we build it on. Our careers, relationships, families, and even our faith can be shaken if the foundation isn’t secure.

Jesus is the foundation that will hold when everything else feels uncertain.

So take a moment to ask yourself: What are you building your life on?

Every year, we gather for a special Member Banquet to celebrate how far God has brought us as a church. We’re doing things a little earlier this year, but we’d love for you to be there for this special time together!

Join us September 13 at 5 p.m. as we celebrate all that God has done and look forward to what He has in store for the future.

We can’t wait to see you there!

What does it mean to truly glorify God in the way we live, worship, and relate to one another?

This week in 1 Corinthians 11, Pastor Jay reminded us that submission isn’t about inferiority. It’s about trust and laying down our own desires so that God receives the glory.

The question for each of us is simple: Does the way I live and worship bring attention to God, or to myself?

May everything we do point back to Him.

What does our worship say about who we are living for?

This week in 1 Corinthians 11:1–16, we were reminded that God has designed men and women with distinct roles and purposes, but those roles never determine a person’s value. Submission is not inferiority. It is part of God’s design for relationships and points us back to Him.

The takeaways are simple:

• Honor God’s design for men and women.
• Pursue humility in how we live and worship.
• Don’t seek our own glory, but seek God’s glory above all else.
• Let the gospel shape how we understand our roles and relationships.

When we gather to worship, the goal isn’t to draw attention to ourselves. It’s to point everything back to Christ.

Are there areas of your life where you need to choose humility and give God the glory?

This Sunday at Cross Fellowship Church , Pastor Jay brought a powerful message from 1 Corinthians 10:23–11:1 about how we use the freedom we have in Christ. The question isn’t just what we’re free to do, but whether our choices build others up and bring glory to God.

Are you using your freedom to build people up or tear them down? That question is worth sitting with this week.
