Last month was pretty crazy with all the traveling and visa stuff, so we’re really glad to be settled back in at home! We’ve also started up homeschool again. Please pray for the kids as they begin another school year—they’re in 6th and 10th grade this year!
We’re really thankful to be here and genuinely enjoy getting to serve alongside so many other missionaries. We’ve also been seeing lots of bluebirds, toucans, lizards, macaws, and all kinds of other creatures lately. We never get tired of seeing the beauty and variety here! Although, as pretty as toucans are, they are extremely annoying and loud! 😂
This coming month, we have a lot of visitors coming through. Several families serving in remote areas will be stopping by, and PQQ has fall break, so we’ll also have a few visitors from there too. Most of them will be doing a health consult with Erin, so please pray for her energy and health as it will be a pretty heavy workload for her this month. And we'll probably be hosting a student for a weekend, which Liam will love, because he's a good friend.
Joe is still catching up on graphics and staying very busy as well. He’s also still dealing with some lingering effects from what we think was COVID, so please keep praying for his recovery. We’re trying to get some tests done, but we’ve been having major difficulties with our insurance plan. We also paid another large amount out of pocket last month that we still don’t know if we’ll be reimbursed for, which has been extremely frustrating.
Even with some of these challenges, we’re so thankful for God’s continued strength and provision. He has continued to provide what we need, even when things don’t always go the way we hoped or planned. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be here and for the many ways we get to serve and encourage others.
Please pray for us as we continue serving here—that God would give us the energy, wisdom, and strength we need, and that we would be an encouragement and support to all of our fellow missionaries here!
