June Ministry & Family Update 🌎
Overall, we're doing well and are grateful for all the ways God continues to provide and work. It's been a very busy season, and we have a lot coming up this summer.
We're helping several new people as they begin orientations, and there are many summer activities and ministry opportunities ahead. Joe stays busy helping families who are traveling, assisting with building projects, and helping with repairs in remote areas. Erin has been working with many families through natural healthcare, helping them address health concerns and build healthier foundations.
One thing many people don't realize is that a lot of our ministry and healthcare work is done remotely through voice and video calls 💻. Whether we're supporting families in remote locations, or working with clients on health concerns, technology allows us to serve people across Brazil and beyond without leaving home.
The kids have finished school and are enjoying their summer break ☀️, which has been a nice change of pace for all of us. We're looking forward to spending some extra time together as a family while staying busy with ministry throughout the summer.
Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and support ❤️. We are truly grateful for each of you and the role you play in helping make this ministry possible. Your prayers matter, and we appreciate them more than we can say. We are excited to see what God has in store in the months ahead!
Prayer Requests 🙏
1. Joe has a flu bug 🤒, please pray he feels better soon and that the rest of us stay healthy!
2. Liam recently had some adjustments made to his therapy program. We are seeing continued progress and are very thankful! There are three main areas we're hoping to see improvement in before he graduates:
• Talking with people outside of close friends and family. He has made huge progress this year, but still has a ways to go.
• Clothing flexibility. He currently wears the same five outfits with a hood almost 24/7. We'd love to see continued growth in this area. A recent win was that he finally accepted short-sleeve hoodies in the heat, which was a big deal! 🎉
• Hearing sensitivity. Even with his headphones, we use level-one sound and cut it in half, and it is still very loud for him. When he first started sound therapy, he could only tolerate 2–3 minutes because it was so painful. He is now up to 15 minutes, which is encouraging progress! 🎧
3. Please pray for our finances 💛. Our monthly pledged support is currently around 57%. Erin's job is going through some changes, and her pay will decrease for a while. We are also still paying off a significant amount from Joe's surgery several years ago.
