It is with gratitude that we approach Thanksgiving Day. During the very first days of the Festival of Lights, we were honored to have with us Patrice Wood (the main news anchor for WJAR), who officially opened the 2025-2026 La Salette Festival of Lights (November 22), followed by the Bishop of Providence, the Most Rev. Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. (November 25). Thank you both for honoring us with their presence. And thank you to everyone who visited us.
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, the La Salette Christmas Lights will open as usual, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. See you here!

Dear Friends,

From the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette and the La Salette Retreat Center, we, the La Salette Fathers, Brothers, and Sisters, thank God for the gift of your faith, your presence, your support and your partnership in hope.

May your Thanksgiving table be surrounded by joy, comfort, and the blessing of loved ones. May your heart be light, your home be warm, and your joy be deep. And may the Lord repay your goodness with peace that lingers long after the meal is shared.

The excitement is everywhere! Starting tomorrow, YOU will be able to experience a spark of Christmas hope. Tomorrow at 5 PM, the whole Shrine comes alive with the GRAND OPENING of the 2025-2026 La Salette Christmas Festival of Lights! With the addition of 137 NEW DISPLAYS there will be more than 1,000,000 lights, making the festival one of the largest of New England.
The best part? IT IS FREE. FREE ENTRANCE AND PARKING!

Their quiet dedication transforms simple wires into a radiant symbol of community. Each strand they string says: "you are loved; you are welcome here."
