Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component, helping patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care, and more.

During our upcoming blood drive with the American Red Cross, donors with Type O, B-, or A- blood may be eligible to make a Power Red donation, which can help even more patients.

We are happy to share that Dolores Hopkins has been named St. Vincent de Paul’s “Advocate of the Year!”

Dolores has such a big heart for helping others in our community. She made our St. Vincent de Paul Little Pantry possible by donating the pantry itself and providing the funds to help keep it stocked for those who need it. Because of her kindness, neighbors in need can access basic food items whenever they need them.

Dolores also generously supports our Christmas Basket program for families and contributes to the Society’s general fund, helping make sure families have the essentials for everyday living.

We are so grateful for Dolores and the many ways she helps others. Please join us in congratulating her and thanking her for the compassion and generosity she shares with our community! 💙

As we begin this holy Season of Advent, we remember that as we await the Second Coming of Christ, we are united in faith by our ancestors who waited for the coming of the Messiah. Each week, the readings reflect this mystery. With those who have gone before us in faith, we pray, Maranatha, come Lord Jesus!

Gospel Reading, 1st Sunday of Advent:

Matthew 24:37-44

Jesus said to his disciples:
"As it was in the days of Noah,
so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
In those days before the flood,
they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage,
up to the day that Noah entered the ark.
They did not know until the flood came and carried them all away.
So will it be also at the coming of the Son of Man.
Two men will be out in the field;
one will be taken, and one will be left.
Two women will be grinding at the mill;
one will be taken, and one will be left.
Therefore, stay awake!
For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come."
