I chose this message for the sign in advance of VBS June 8-14. The theme is entitled "Emerald Crossing". The lessons are based on the 23rd Psalms.
A valley is often depicted as a lush green areas between hills. However, erosion is what makes those beautiful Valleys. We all have Valleys in our lives. They may be financial or illness but more often they are emotional because of grief, betrayal or other feelings of loss.
Psalms 23:4 does not say "if" you walk through a valley but "when". It reminds us that we don't walk alone through those valleys because his rod and staff or protection and guidance remove fear when we feel him walking beside us.
" Fear loses its grip when you know the Shephard is near. "
