REMEMBERING MARTYRS: The history of Valentine's Day begins with a man of God who honored marriage and was killed for it. February 14, Valentine's Day, is the legacy of a priest named Valentinus who defied the orders of Roman Emperor Claudius II that Roman soldiers should not marry. The emperor made this decision in order to keep his soldiers from weakening their will or softening their courage as he wanted their hearts bloodlessly cold. Valentinus had compassion on these soldiers and performed marriages in secret. In time, he was caught in his disobedience, beaten with clubs and martyred by beheading on February 14 in A.D. 269.

The Believers along with Bill Rucker will be singing New Years Eve,December 31st starting at 8:00p.m. at Welcome Bethel Church Guntersville,Al. We will break and have snacks in the fellowship hall then gather back in the church and sing in the New Year 2026. Come and be with us.
