This Sunday, we will begin a new theme, "Wait...what?!" We all make plans—plans for where we’re going and what we want to do. But life is more often a story of unexpected interruptions. Our faith helps us to recognize God’s hand at work in unanticipated ways. By faith we learn to embrace life’s interruptions as the place God so often does miraculous things. We learn to respond with compassion and faith when things seem impossible. In this lesson, we will discover how Peter and John followed the example Jesus had set for them. They took time out of their busy schedules to care for someone else’s needs and his life was changed forever. Kids will learn that they need to make time for the interruptions God puts in their paths. There is always time to care for others.

In our lesson today, we will discover how Jesus called an unlikely man named Matthew to be His disciple. Jesus shared the good news and His love with everyone, even the most unlikely and unlovable. Jesus wants us to serve Him by sharing His good news and love with everyone too.

Congratulations to our newest member of the Wall of Fame, Nora Leigh, for reciting the Lord’s Prayer! Great job!!
