Today marks the final day for our family serving at Huxford Baptist Church as pastor and teachers.
As the Holy Spirit directed our path to this place for a season, we take up our cross and journey on to the next place of reason. With a hope and a zeal to see what He has in store, we will honour the Lord and trust in His Holy Word.
In our 3.5 years here we have seen Gods goodness, church growth, Salvation decisions, individual and collective pain, death of loved ones, heartache, restoration, fun, laughter, fellowship, Baptisms, and singing. We’ve been through rain and we’ve stood in the sunshine. We’ve prayed to God, heard God, and felt God. We’ve filled the alter and we’ve seen it left empty. We’ve seen the pews begging for people, but we’ve also filled the church, all but the steeple. There have been tears of both conviction and sorrow, but also Joy and hopefully many more Joyful tomorrows.
The new sanctuary looks amazing and feels welcoming to all who may attend. Preach the Word & be faithful while He works in the hearts of women & men. Don’t give up in these times when the world is fighting strong, just trust the Master in the storm while He carries you along.
Telia and I(along with our girls) will be praying for the community of Huxford and will hopefully see you blossom as we depart. Let the winds of the Holy Spirit comfort you and guide you closer and closer to the Heavenly Fathers heart.
Love in Christ,
Bro. Jason Handley
