Let us pray for the repose of the soul for Father Adrian Cook 🙏🏻

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Adrian L. Cook, who passed away July 31 at the age of 80.

Fr. Cook most notably served as pastor of St. Maurice Parish in Brewton from 1994 until his retirement in 2016, as well as pastor of St. Elizabeth Parish in Greenville from 1982-94.

Ordained to the priesthood in 1972, Fr. Cook's first assignment was as assistant pastor of Holy Family Parish in Mobile. He also served as moderator of the Catholic Youth Organization, taught religion at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School and served as assistant pastor at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Mobile and St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Montgomery.

Following his retirement in 2016, Fr. Cook resided in the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama.

Visitation for Fr. Cook will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Thomas Parish in Montevallo, followed by the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Interment will take place at a later date.
