King – Lucien E. King, Jr., age 90, passed away on May 24, 2026. He was born in Laconia, New Hampshire to the late Lucien King, Sr. and Irene Paquette-King on December 1, 1935. After graduating high school, Lucien joined the United States Navy in 1953 at the age of 17. Not long after entering the service, he met his beloved wife, Joyce King, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1955, Lucien and Joyce unified their beautiful marriage which was filled with 4 beloved children; Mark, Denise, Michael, and Joseph King. They also had the pleasure of raising their granddaughter, Jennifer. Lucien retired from the United States Navy in 1973 CPO OSC. He continued working another 24 years at Glidco Organics, retiring for the second time in the late 90’s. Lucien was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark King; and brother, Bobby King.
Lucien is survived by his loving wife, Joyce King; children, Denise, Michael and Joseph; grandchildren, Jennifer King, Michael Campany, Brittany Campany, Anastasia King, Rachel King, and Stephanie King; great-grandchildren, Cameron Beuford, Cheyanne Jones, Yuri, Kaiden, Karley, Calina, Charisma and Kelton; and siblings, Marcella, Betty and Carole.
A Celebration of Lucien’s Life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Ferreira Funeral Services at Beaches Memorial Park, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, Florida, 32233, with Chaplain Jim Cox officiating, where military honors will be rendered. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
