We will not have our annual Homecoming gathering this year due to continued social distancing. We will still have our regular service every Sunday at 11 A.M.. All visitors and former members are always welcome.

Our beloved former Pastor Frank Whitmire, Sr. has gone home to be with the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Whitmire family throughout this difficult time. Brother Frank, as he was affectionately known, touched the hearts and lives of so many. He pastored DeFoor Avenue Baptist Church from 1980 to 1997 and went on to be the Associate Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. He will be dearly missed, but he is most assuredly rejoicing throughout Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brother Frank fought a good fight, kept the faith, and was a wonderful man of God. ( II Timothy 4:7-8) Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Visitation will be held at Bearden’s Funeral Home in Dawsonville, GA on Monday from 4-8 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA on Tuesday at 3 P.M. with visitation at the church starting at 2 P.M.
