Ladies, you’re invited to Breathe, Renew, & be Restored. In the busyness of life, take this time to honor your body as a temple, calm your mind, and connect with other women in a peaceful flow. No experience necessary!

A much-needed conversation! Looking forward to it!

June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and we’re kicking it off with a BRAND NEW series on the AND Campaign YouTube channel. 🎙️

What does a Christ-centered immigration system actually look like?

That’s the conversation we’re stepping into with Immigration with Holy Imagination — a series exploring immigration through honest dialogue, biblical imagination, and the stories of real people impacted every day.

At a time when immigration conversations are often shaped more by fear and politics than faithful witness, we believe Christians are called to engage differently. With compassion. With conviction. With holy imagination.

Episode 1 launches June 3rd.

It takes a village!

At Refuge we believe God created the church to be that village. As part of that design, we will be having child dedications this Sunday, May 17th during the service. We hope you’ll join us for this significant even in the life of Refuge, as we covenant together to raise our children in the knowledge and fear of the Lord.

Fill out the form below, if you would like to dedicate your child(ren) this Sunday, May 17th!

On Sunday we celebrated the spiritual resurrection of these believers, the outward visible expression (baptism) of an inward spiritual reality (faith).

This is what it’s all about:
To see the diverse people of Atlanta become family through the gospel.

It’s time for our favorite Sunday of the year! Baptism Sunday!

Jesus commanded his followers to repent and be baptized, as a visible demonstration of their faith and commitment to him. At Refuge, we believe that baptism is a sign and seal of God’s new covenant with all who confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). We also think it’s one of the most joyful and exciting times in the life of the church!

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m., as we baptize new believers, who have been raised from death to life!

At the turn of the 20th century, G. K. Chesterton said, “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.” Still today there are many things we wish Jesus hadn’t said, that we’d be sure not to repeat in certain company. We might even say we’re embarrassed to believe some of the things we believe because of how our culture judges people who believe such things.

What’s it for you? What’s the asterisk next to your commitment to follow Jesus? What’s the dealbreaker for you?

Tomorrow morning we’ll start a new series called “He Said What?!” in which we’ll look at the hard sayings of Jesus and explore how we can be thoughtful, principled followers of Jesus in a time when much of what he taught is not appreciated or outright criticized by our culture.

What’s better than celebrating the resurrection with family and friends?

No idea! Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, and we’d love to celebrate with us the cornerstone of our faith: the Jesus’ resurrection from the dead! We’ll have family pictures before and after the service too, so be sure to wear your Sunday best and invite everyone…literally, everyone.

We’ll see you there!.

What makes Good Friday good? How could the violent, shameful ex*****on of our Savior and Lord in any way be good? The way we answer that question as believers in Jesus is by pointing to what was accomplished by Jesus on that day so long ago. If it weren't for Jesus' suffering, we would eternally suffer, separated from him. If it weren't for Jesus' condemnation, we would stand eternally condemned before the Father. If it weren't for Jesus bearing the thorns on his head and the nails in his hands and feet, we would forever bear the penalty of our sin. If it weren't for Jesus' victory on the cross, we would remain complete and utter failures. If it weren't for Jesus' death, we would forever be spiritually dead.

But Jesus saw the good that his awful, substitutionary death would accomplish, and so "for the joy that was set before him, [he] endured the cross, despising the shame" (Hebrews 12:2b). And in so doing, he made Good Friday good. Isn't that what God does? He takes the raw materials of suffering, brokenness, and injustice and turns it good. Thank you, Jesus!

Join us tonight for worship through song and meditations on what Good Friday means to members of our congregation. The service will begin at 6:30 and will be about an hour. Childcare up through 2nd grade will be provided.

1. Palm Sunday is this Sunday! We hope you’ll stay after the service for lunch to hear from one of our international worker couples and their work among the unreached in Nairobi, Kenya.

Or, if you are a believer and have not been baptized, stick around for our baptism class after the service. It shouldn’t be more than an hour and lunch is on us.
