Everyone has a deep desire for belonging. Part of God’s answer to that longing is the family of his people. Together we covenant to love and fight for one another’s holiness and love for Jesus. Together we share in life’s ups and downs and worship the God of our salvation through it all.

If you haven’t experienced family like that, we’d like to invite you to get to know Refuge deeper and commit to walk alongside of us, as we join in God’s mission together. Or, if you just have questions you’d like answered, we’ve got the environment for you!

Eight years ago John Perkins stood on Stone Mountain with OneRace Movement and spoke hope into the next generation. On September 26th, we will gather in Atlanta to celebrate his life, honor his legacy, and carry the work forward. ❤️

Are you tired of information overload but still searching for answers? 📱💥

We have the sum of all human knowledge in our pockets, yet we often feel completely directionless. As the poet T.S. Eliot famously asked, “Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?”

To put it another way: “Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.” 🍅🥗

Our world is full of “tomatoes”—plenty of data, but not enough direction. That’s why we’re starting our brand-new series, “Life Hacks: A Series on the Wisdom of Proverbs.” Join us tomorrow as we dive into the timeless, bedrock wisdom of the Book of Proverbs to discover how to stop just consuming data and start living with true, divine skill.

LIT Fest is an annual celebration bringing together churches, families, and communities to invest in the next generation through literacy.

This year, churches across Atlanta helped elementary students grow in reading skills, confidence, and a love of learning. LIT Fest is the exciting culmination of that work. Scan the QR code to register! We hope to see you there!

Our first Refuge Family Reunion was a tremendous success! A huge thanks to our many community partners and Family Group leaders for connecting the church to one another and the good being done in our neighborhoods.

At Refuge, we believe Jesus makes us family. We worship together as family, and we live life in community as family.

If you’d like to experience family deeper at Refuge, we hope you’ll come out to our Refuge Church Family (Groups) Reunion this Sunday, August 16th after the service. This is a great opportunity to share a meal, get to know each other better, join a Family Group if you haven’t already, and get to know Refuge’s community partners, too. So, stick around after the service this Sunday for a fish fry, lawn games, and great people!

Does it get any better than this?

We’re still in awe of these young people’s faith. God has rescued them and is already using them to spread his good news! Thank you, Jesus, for the testimony of these young believers!
