The Deaconess Ministry of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church cordially invites your Deaconess Ministry to join us in our first Deaconess Conference on Friday, September 11, 2015 and Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1879 Glenwood Avenue, S.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30316. We have long since desired to join with other Deaconess Ministries to connect, fellowship
and reason together what God requires of us as women servants in the body of Christ. Our task is great and we want to ensure that we are prepared, along with our sister churches, to tackle the great work that is before us, as described in our theme scripture, Psalms 90:17: “And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Our theme for the Deaconess Conference is “Sisters in Service: From God’s Heart to our Hands”. We will be offering some wonderful and informative training centered on the pillars of our church to help our ministries grow in using our hands in His service. The facilitators for these sessions are fellow Deaconess who also press toward the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus.

In order to make this great event a success, we are requesting the support and participation of your
Deaconess Ministry. Our goal is not only to grow each of us as servant leaders, but to also develop long lasting, Christ-centered, nurturing partnerships among the women of God; to be a support to each other as we labor in the vineyard. We will be sending additional information at a later date about registration. In the meantime, please share this event with your ministry members and encourage each of them to join us for what we anticipate will be a joyous time in the Lord.
