It is not always easy to stand on your faith. When you are sitting across from a doctor who gives you a dismal report, faith becomes a little difficult. The same holds true when a family member or loved one receives a bad report. Sure you know the scriptures. You have acquired tons of notes from bible study over the years but nothing prepares you for the range of emotions you experience upon receiving bad news. Faith can be hard to come by. However, when the word of God is your foundation, faith will emerge. At first the report may be a shock but when you are rooted and grounded in the word, nothing will change that. When faith is put into action, you realize, “By His stripes we are healed.” (I Peter 2:24) “He heals all our diseases.” (Psalms 103:3) You cannot afford to wait to build a foundation after a tragedy has occurred. Soldiers begin training before the war ever begins, not after because then it will be too late. God already knows your situation. He’s not frantically trying to plan a solution. He knows the end from the beginning. Trust God and know He has it all worked out. He was right there when the report was given and He has given you the victory.
Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.
