🔥 DON’T STOP AT SIX! | Naaman Almost Walked Away From His Miracle

Naaman had everything people admire power, influence, wealth, respect and authority. He was commander of the Syrian army and a mighty man of valor.

But underneath the uniform was a problem his position couldn’t fix.

Naaman had leprosy.

When he finally reached the prophet Elisha expecting a dramatic miracle, the instruction he received seemed almost insulting in its simplicity:

Go wash in the Jordan seven times.

Naaman became angry and almost walked away.

Think about that. He nearly returned home with the same condition not because God refused to heal him, but because God’s instruction offended his pride.

How often do we do the same thing?

We ask God to open a door, but we’ve already decided which door it should be. We ask Him to restore a relationship, but we don’t want to apologize. We ask Him to change our circumstances, but we don’t want Him to change us.

Thankfully, Naaman humbled himself and obeyed.

He went into the Jordan once. Twice. Three times. Four. Five. Six.

Imagine coming out after the sixth time and seeing no change.

This is where many people stop.

But God said seven.

Naaman went down again, and when he came back up, his flesh was restored.

The breakthrough wasn’t in Naaman’s money, military victories or position. It was on the other side of obedience.

Maybe you’re at your “six” right now. You’ve prayed. You’ve tried. You’ve waited. You’ve obeyed and you still don’t see what you expected.

Don’t allow disappointment to make you stop before you’ve completed what God told you to do.

Make the call. Forgive. Apologize. Start again. Serve. Wait. Pray. Obey.

Don’t miss your Jordan because you expected something more impressive.

Sometimes the greatest miracle begins with the simplest act of obedience.

When the World Gets Colder, Don’t Let Your Heart Grow Cold | Choose Love Anyway

DESCRIPTION

Jesus gave us a warning that feels increasingly relevant today:

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12

Look around us. We are more connected technologically than perhaps any generation before us, yet hatred, division, cruelty and indifference can spread across our screens in seconds.

Someone suffers and people record.

Someone falls and people laugh.

Someone dies and strangers debate whether their life was worth mourning.

Someone disagrees with us and suddenly we believe hatred is justified.

But when did hatred become normal?

Jesus said His disciples would be recognized by their love. Paul told us that we could possess knowledge, faith and spiritual gifts, but without love, we are nothing.

And when Cain murdered Abel, God declared that his brother’s blood cried out from the ground. Human life still matters to God.

Justice matters but vengeance belongs to the Lord. We cannot allow another person’s evil to create evil inside of us.

Sometimes hatred becomes its own prison. There are people walking around physically free while imprisoned by bitterness, revenge and unforgiveness. The person who hurt you may not even be in the room, yet the pain they caused can continue controlling your thoughts.

Don’t give hatred that kind of power.

The world may grow colder, but you can preserve your love.

Preserve it through God’s Word. Preserve it through prayer. Preserve it through forgiveness. Love your family. Check on somebody who is hurting. Put the phone down sometimes and reconnect with the people God has placed around you.

And remember Jesus.

He was rejected, falsely accused, beaten and crucified, yet He prayed:

“Father, forgive them.” Luke 23:34

That is strength.

Not merely having the power to hurt someone who hurt you, but possessing the spiritual strength to refuse to become like them.

The world does not need Christians who can prophesy but cannot love. It does not need people who quote Scripture while celebrating another person’s destruction.

If we belong to Christ, love must still identify us.

When hatred becomes fashionable, love anyway.

When cruelty becomes normal, remain compassionate.

When someone wrongs you, pursue justice but leave vengeance with God.

And when the world grows colder, guard your heart.

Faith remains.

Hope remains.

Love remains.
