Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Bronx, New York, Clarissa Farrar has grown into a young lady that looks at her past and builds on the belief that the life she lives will be a tool used to help other people come out of what they may be in. Living in the life of New York City was a challenge for this young lady, but at the tender age of fifteen, her mother, Linda Garner, decided she want
ed a change for her daughter. Linda moved to Milton, Florida. During this time it was hard for Clarissa to cope with the move and it seemed as if life didn't change, just her location. Over the course of the next few years Clarissa was involved with a few different things that seemed as if she would never change. Clarissa sat down one day and started to evaluate herself because she was tired of the same bad things happening. The hustle and bustle of moving from state to state and city to city started to fuel her dreams of becoming more than just an average girl. As a young adult, she was concerned about the issues and temptations that the youth face today; Clarissa had been approached by a young lady that was involved with interpreted dance, she asked Clarissa to be a part of a dance she was doing; this soon became a way of escape for her as she sat in her room and danced until she felt better. After years of distinctive work she orchestrated her own choreography with expression that touches the heart, mind, and spirit. Through her innovative work, she has been a part of different organizations enhancing and expanding the Gospel ministries of churches, youth events, conventions, conferences, etc. She silently interprets contemporary Gospel music and sermonettes with dramatic gestures and animated facial expressions, portraying the power and anointing of God. Clarissa has traveled from Jacksonville, Florida to Bronx, New York and all points in between to minister to the people of God. An added dimension of her ministry is that she not only silently interprets the Gospel message but she is also a preacher of the good news.
