Mount Nebo Methodist Church is under the new leadership of Reverend Glenn Petero. The church is connected to the North Georgia Conference of the Global Methodist Church. The church offers educational and outreach programs, regular Bible study small groups, friendship and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, members and non-members alike. Along with the large playground area, the church features the only pipe organ in a Protestant church within the Dallas – Hiram area. The people of the church welcome visitors to join them during any of their worship services and community projects.

Lord Jesus, you call us just as you called Simon and Andrew to follow you. Fill us with the courage that they showed and allow us to leave behind everything that is holding us back from following you. This world is full of people who need to know you. Help us to find them and bring them to you. Amen.

When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. Luke 13:12-13

Living Savior, you are with us today, and you can set us free from our ailments. Place your hands of mercy upon us and heal us so that we may stand up straight and praise you. Amen.

Savior, let us follow your example to show no partiality. Keep us bound together with cords that cannot be broken. Bind us together with all our brothers and sisters in Christ in the great fellowship of your love. Amen.

Kind God and loving Savior, lead us to repent our sins. We know that we fall short of your glory. We know that we too often fail to live as who we truly are, your beloved children. Forgive us, we pray. Amen.

Gracious God, you show us your love in the life, sufferings, death, and resurrection of your son. Thank you for rescuing us from the power of darkness and bringing us safely to the light of your kingdom. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. Ephesians 2:19 NIV

God of unity, give us courage to look at our fellow citizens, not as foreigners or strangers, but as our brothers and sisters, so that we can unite in your household. Let all of the earth see your salvation in us and through us. We pray as one. Amen.

Morning Star of our faith and life, you came and fulfilled the words of the prophets. As you now reign in highest heaven, continue to deal with us wisely and execute justice and righteousness in our land. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Jesus, you are our daily bread. Allow us to feast and live on your word and your truth each and every day of our lives, until you call us into the heavenly place above. We pray in our savior’s name. Amen.

Paul said, “For as I went through the city and looked carefully at the objects of your worship, I found among them an altar with the inscription, ‘To an unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.” Acts 17:23

God, we know you and you call us to proclaim your message to every people, tongue, and nation. Give us the words we need to speak your love throughout all the world, so that there will be no more offerings given to an unknown god. Amen.
