A message of hope
To the One Who Is Still Looking
You are not as far as you feel.
If you are reading this and something inside you is searching — for peace, for answers, for a reason to keep going — then this message is for you. Not for the person beside you. Not for someone who has it all figured out. For you, exactly where you are right now.
Maybe you have wandered far. Maybe you feel like you have made too many mistakes, carried too much shame, or waited too long. Maybe you do not even know what you are looking for — only that something is missing, and the ache of its absence has followed you into every room you have tried to fill.
Hear this clearly: God has not stopped looking for you.
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
— Luke 19:10
That word — lost — is not an accusation. It is a description. And it carries within it the most beautiful truth: that which is lost can be found. The shepherd does not rest until the one sheep is home. The father does not stop watching the road until his child returns. That is the heart of God toward you.
You do not need to clean yourself up first. You do not need the right words, the right background, or a long history of faith. You only need one honest step toward Him. One prayer — even a stumbling, imperfect one. Even a whisper in the dark that says, "God, if You are there, I need You."
"You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."
— Jeremiah 29:13
The seeking itself is a sign. The hunger you feel is not a curse — it is an invitation. That restlessness in your soul is the echo of a love that refuses to let you go quietly into emptiness. Something in you knows there is more. That knowing is grace already at work.
The road back does not require perfection. It only requires a turned heart. And the moment you turn — even slightly, even trembling — you will find that He was never as far as the enemy told you He was.
"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
— Matthew 11:28
That invitation is still open. It was open yesterday. It is open today. It will be open tomorrow. There is no expiration on grace.
So if your heart is stirring as you read this — do not push it away. That stirring is His hand on the door. You do not have to have all the answers before you walk through. Just take the next step. Talk to Him. Reach for Him. Let yourself be found.
A prayer for the searching soul
