Meet Deacon Tatyana McKnight, faithfully serving on our eCatering Team for over 5 years!

When Deacon Tatyana first joined Encounter, she had recently graduated college and was working hard but didn’t feel like she had much financially to give. So instead, she gave what she did have.

“Apostle Gabe constantly taught us to sow time, talents, and resources. I couldn’t sow much money, so I gave God and Encounter all that I had.”

And through serving, everything changed.
“Serving at Encounter literally changed my life. I walked through the doors broken, but God has continuously restored my soul. Serving made my walk with God real. Something special happens when you submit yourself to serving others—you begin to transform.”

One of her favorite memories happened during Roses & Concrete, when Encounter reopened after the pandemic. After the event, she simply asked, “How can I help?” and was assigned to clean the popcorn machine.

“I never felt so proud to clean. Just to be a part. That’s when I knew Encounter was family.”

Even now, after years of serving, Deacon Tatyana says she still carries the same heart she had that day—grateful just to contribute to what God is building. 💛
