We've just completed Kids Camp 2026 at Peniel Atlanta, and what a joyful and blessed time we had together!
This year, we learned that God writes our story as we followed the life of Moses. From a baby in a basket to the leader of God's people, Moses' life was transformed when he heard God's voice. There, at the burning bush, God gave him a very important mission. The God of his fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—was now speaking to him directly!
And God spoke at just the right time—not a minute early and not a minute late, but exactly when Moses was ready. Moses heard God's voice and followed Him. From then on, God continued to speak to Moses, and Moses continued to know more of this great, powerful, and mighty God.
What a beautiful story God wrote for Moses! In every chapter we see God's power, His faithfulness, and His love for Moses and for His people. And what a difference it makes when we hear His voice. Through His words, we come to know the One who knows everything about us—the One who knows our thoughts, counts every hair on our heads, sees every smile and every tear, and whose eyes saw us even in our mother's womb.
What a privilege it is to be known and loved by God!
He is our Keeper, our Protector, our mighty God, and He has a story for each one of His children. Every story is unique; no two are alike. He writes our story, and we want to follow Him wherever He leads.
Our prayer is that every child would hear God's voice and follow Him. That they would grow secure in His love, and that God would guard their hearts and minds as He unfolds the beautiful story He has written for each of them.
And what better way to remember what we've learned than by singing it together?
That's where You Write My Story, our camp song, comes in. May this song be a blessing to every little one (and not-so-little one!) as its words travel from their ears and take root in their hearts.
