They’ve dealt with Transition after Transition in ministry but in this year of Refinement, God is not through with Blessing them! This is Awesome..

When Donald Hinton walked out of federal prison, he had no car and no job. But he had $10,000 that he saved from the UNICOR prison work program and a small store he ran inside. Donald grew up in Alton, Illinois, and his father went to prison when he was just 5 years old. His mother struggled to care for him, and he and his sister were raised by their grandmother.

One day in prison, Donald's young son came to visit him, just like he had once visited his own father as a child. Donald said, "I broke down and cried. I knew if I didn't change, my son would end up right here too." That's when Donald made a promise to his son that the cycle of prison in their family would end with him. And within a year of his release, Donald used that $10,000 to buy a duplex. He lived in one unit, rented the other, and learned everything he could about real estate. Today, Donald Hinton owns 19 homes.

We're sharing Donald's story on Stay Inspired to bring national attention to his journey. He now teaches formerly incarcerated people how to invest in real estate through his organization From Prison to Properties. Donald proved that redemption is real. And even though he made mistakes along the way, with determination, focus, and hard work, he changed his life and his family's future forever.
