It takes a village, but it also takes vision.
And when big sisters pour love, protection, and example into little sisters, thatā€™s legacy in motion.

One thing about Chloeā€™ā€¦ she be ready for church. Not because somebody forcing her. Not because sheā€™s a ā€œPK.ā€ But because she sees it modeled at home.

And I honor my wife, my best friend, the love of my life, for pouring into our daughters in ways they donā€™t even understand yet. Sheā€™s not just dressing them. Sheā€™s discipling them. Sheā€™s not just nurturing them. Sheā€™s shaping women of character.

Yes, Chloe is a Pastorā€™s kid. And letā€™s be honest, that title comes with a target. Expectations. Assumptions. Extra eyes watching. But hear me clearly: I will be responsible with the calling on my life and the covering over hers.

I know what it feels like to grow up with pressure attached to your last name. I know what it feels like when people judge the child because of the fatherā€™s pulpit. And I refuse to let that cycle repeat.

My daughter will not be an illustration for gossip.
She will not be a measuring stick for church politics.
She will not carry burdens she did not create.

She will be loved.
She will be protected.
She will be corrected in private and celebrated in public.
She will be allowed to grow without being crucified for growing.

I am a Pastor. But before that, I am a father.
And I will never let ministry rob my children of mercy, grace, and joy.

Generational trauma stops here.
Unrealistic expectations stop here.
Church hurt disguised as ā€œholinessā€ stops here.

We can preach standards without destroying souls.
We can lead churches without sacrificing children.

And in this house, we will.

One thing about the Pennymon household, we are calling our favorite restaurant at any hour just to ask, ā€œYā€™all still open?ā€ šŸ˜‚

We might not even order nothing, we just need to know the door is still unlocked for us.

If they pick up, itā€™s a good night.
If they donā€™t, we act like the whole city is shut down.

Thatā€™s just how we love our food around here. šŸ˜…

Grateful feels too small for what God has given us. In a season where so many families are dealing with sickness, stress, and uncertainty, I donā€™t take for granted that the Pennymon family is covered, protected, and healthy. Breath in our lungs, peace in our home, and love that keeps us grounded. We are not perfect, but we are protected, and for that Iā€™ll forever thank God.

Momma Pennymon and her girls.
The strength, the grace, the laughter, the legacy in one picture. This is what generations look like when faith meets family, when love meets legacy, and when prayers meet purpose. Watching Cleopatra, Chloe, and Camille reminds me that leadership starts at home and legacy is built in moments like these. God blessed me with a queen and two princesses, and I never take that for granted.

Family is ministry. Family is mission. Family is forever.

Interacting with my daughter Chloe was absolutely amazing today. Watching her talk, express herself, and share her little thoughts reminded me how fast time is moving. One moment she is my baby, and the next she is holding real conversations, asking real questions, and showing real personality.

Moments like this make everything worth it. No titles, no platforms, no meetings. Just me and my baby girl, growing, laughing, and learning together. I thank God for every word, every laugh, and every moment.
