The Anglican Diocese of St. Ignatius Loyola The Anglican Diocese of St. Ignatius.
– Bishop Jack Lumanog

The vision of The Anglican Diocese of St. The patron of the Diocese is St. St. Ignatius.

Ignatius Loyola is an affinity based, non-geographical missionary diocese with clergy and congregations in the United States, South Asia, Africa and South East Asia. We seek to dedicate ourselves “Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam” (“to the greater glory of God”) in everything that we do as offerings to God as contemplatives in action – just like St. Ignatius Loyola is to raise up multicultural churches that

are firmly rooted in the Anglican tradition and fully alive by the power of the Holy Spirit through preaching, teaching, worship and in the faithful administration of the Sacraments. Ignatius Loyola (23 October 1491 – 31 July 1556), founder of the Society of Jesus. Ignatius was a Spanish soldier who was converted to Christianity while recovering from surgery after he was gravely injured by a hit to the legs from a cannonball at the Battle of Pamplona in 1521. His deep spirituality is captured in the work of the Spiritual Exercises. Ignatius also ushered in a missionary movement that spread Christianity throughout the world and saw 74 colleges founded on three continents by the time he died in 1556.

So glad to be with my friend and bishop, Archbishop D. E. Chase, while he was in town from Louisville to preach in nearby Fayetteville!

So thankful that The Anglican Church of the Messiah, Plainfield, New Jersey. (led by Archdeacon Arinze Uzomechina and assisted by Father Jean Luc Méran) is a vital part of The Anglican Diocese of St. Ignatius Loyola! And we would love to have you join us, too!

Our missionary diocese is affinity-based and non-geographical, with a vision for missionary clergy and congregations serving faithfully throughout the world.

We are committed to raising up multicultural churches in the Anglican tradition that are fully alive through the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday — the day the Holy Spirit filled the Church with power, unity and boldness — I offer this blessing with a heart full of prayer and expectation.

May the same Spirit that moved in the Upper Room stir again in your life today. May He fill your home, your heart, and your hands with courage to witness, compassion to serve, and clarity to lead.

Let us not merely remember Pentecost — let us live it!

Come, Holy Spirit! Fall afresh on us!

This is a reminder from Bishop Jack Lumanog’s Easter sermon:

No borders. No barriers. Just resurrection power!

The Gospel moves faster than any passport, louder than any language.

It is alive in every culture, every nation, every heart.

We are an Easter people with a global mission —
to tell the world: Jesus Christ is ALIVE!

Reflecting on Loss and Grief: A Message from Bishop Jack Lumanog

The Bishop shares heartfelt lessons on grief, love, and remembrance. Preaching his father's funeral sermon 2 years ago was the hardest sermon he ever had to preach.

In his latest blog post, Bishop Jack reflects on the last 2 years of his grief journey, the support from his family, and encouragement from his own bishop and archdeacon, and the lasting impact of his father's encouragement in his life.
