“Opening Hearts and Minds Through Education”
If you know David Cain (the Science Guy), you have most likely heard him talk of his passion to seek out the fingerprints of God. We are seeking out the fingerprints of God and helping kids connect to God through His creation. In Romans 1:18-20 we read that God is angry for men ignoring him in the world around us. From the beginning of creation, God has made himself and his qualities plain for all to see. God calls it wickedness for us to suppress the truth of who he is. This gives a basis for the passion to teach about our God and the world He created. Science is one of the most fantastic ways for people to understand the world around them. Each one of us has a unique way to fulfill our part of the great commission. Cain has a deep passion to see young people so connected with God that they find his purpose for their life and they go fulfill it. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. Cain’s process of teaching is to teach about God in, with and under all curricula. We worship when we learn. Learning is all connected to learning about God
We are to teach our children to be as wise as serpents and as gentle as doves. We do not hide from the world around us, but teach our kids so their hearts will be fully His. We do not want our kids to be naïve, but world shakers and world changers. We want to instill such a love for learning in kids that comes after a passion for God. Lifelong learners will be prepared for whatever door God brings to them. David Cain has a B.S. in Education (English and Biology) and is always seeking to see the fingerprints of God in creation around him and to help others see God’s fingerprints as well. He and his wife, Deb, have home educated their 3 daughters; two are currently in college and one will be a senior at New Doors Home Studies this year.
