While I understand that the is touted as a nonpartisan organization that doesn’t endorse political candidates, I do not see a stance on politicians and pundits using agism as a platform for discounting readiness. One of our nation's greatest and most effective advocates in this area seems silent. You may not be for one candidate or the other on certain issues, but remember that the goal of any autocracy is to alienate group by group until there are none left to subjugate. (Did ya'll read Animal Farm?) Rhetoric is rhetoric for a purpose.
Never forget Martin Niemöller's words: "First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
We rest in the knowledge that the government rests upon the soldiers of Immanuel! We live in the knowledge that we all have a voice!
