A Roof for a Roof: Climb Himlung to Give Schoolkids a Roof!
It’s that time of year again!!! On September 28 my husband Mark Templer is setting off to climb yet another mountain and raise funds for the Asha School. He will be gone for three weeks. His goal is to raise $8,000. The money will go towards putting a new roof on the school, as water drips into the classrooms during the monsoon. We will also renovate the toilet block and put actual windows in all the classrooms. It gets cold in the winter!
This year’s mountain is the highest Mark has attempted to climb. Mount Himlung in the Himalayas stands at 7,126m or 23,379ft. Please pray and contribute to Mark’s fundraiser!

Some of the kids at the Asha Vidhyashram school of HOPE worldwide Nepal come from very disadvantaged families. The school covers all of their educational costs, but outside of school some of the families really struggle. The cute little children in the picture are some of the kids who get extra support beyond school. We provide food rations for the families, support for medical needs, etc. About a dozen kids receive this support right now out of 125 students, but there are more who could benefit. The cost is $75 per month or $900 per year.

Today is the last day to apply for the June (15th to 29th) Volunteer Corps in Kathmandu, Nepal. Come and serve the Asha (Hope) school, and interact with little cuties like Manisha. She has a tough life but she is such a great kid! Full of beans!

We still have space on the June 15 to 29 Volunteer Corps in Nepal. I live right here in this beautiful country, my favorite place in the whole wide world. The people are kind, the weather is perfect and mild, the food is delicious, and the sights are mind-blowingly beautiful.
