In April, I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Cape Coast, Ghana...This was a holy journey—a pilgrimage into the reality of our ancestors, their suffering, and their resilience.

The first day of our Pilgrimage was filled with travel from Accra to Cape Coast. I am thankful for the Hospitality and patience shown to our large group . I was nervous about saying 'Thank You' in Twi. I didn't want to pronounce "Medaase" (thank you) incorrectly. In the end, my Thank you- Meh- dah-si, was returned with a big smile. Sometimes showing gratitude means taking a risk and being uncomfortable.
