Reins of Hope Equine Ministry Reins of Hope is a ministry of Arcadia Christian Church that utilizes equine assisted learning to te Horses are amazing teachers and have so much to offer.

Reins of Hope is a unique ministry of Arcadia Christian Church. We utilize the help of horses to help teach, encourage, mentor, and grow individuals, couples, families, children, teens, and groups. Working with them helps promote confidence, self esteem, leadership skills, healthy communication, empathy, assertiveness, respect, and so much more. Horses are amazing teachers and can teach us so much

about God, His truth, and the characteristics He desires for us to display in our lives. Sessions are typically either 60 or 90 minutes, involve a lot of groundwork and some riding, and are free of charge (although donations are always welcome)! The barn is located just 5 minutes from the church in Atlanta, IN.

It was such an honor for Reins of Hope Equine Ministry to join with Daring Greatly to serve our amazing police officers and support staff. I am so grateful for all of our prayer and financial supporters that continue to lift up this ministry so we can provide support for a number of different people. The Reins of Hope horses do their jobs so well. Please pray for longevity for them as they are all geriatric. 😵‍💫 God uses them in phenomenal ways. ❤️

Sharing this again this year. My most favorite equine ministry story of all time! I recorded this for our Christmas Eve service last year and thought perhaps it needed to be told again. 😊

Today is National Day of the Horse. For thousands of years the horse has served mankind, mostly as a beast of burden. For battle, farming, transportation. Now, the horse continues to serve-just in a different way. They teach children how to walk, they help veterans recover from PTSD, they help people recover from trauma, they help heal the brain. At Reins of Hope, we see them empower, encourage, offer unconditional love and acceptance, teach people how to find their voice. They find ways to impart Gods truth into people that might not otherwise hear or understand that truth. They love, they accept, they challenge, they teach, they heal. We are so grateful for the herd that God has given us. This is Diva, our newest horse. She's already a pro at this. She will continue to serve God and the people He sends to Reins of Hope. And we pray God will continue to work powerfully through these amazing animals.

Last Sunday the Reins of Hope Ministry horses loaded up and traveled to Judson Road Christian Church in Kokomo to teach Kids Church. It was such a fun morning! They had been studying Paul and his missionary journeys so the horses continued that teaching and helped the kids see that God has chosen THEM for a mission as well. Journey, Diva, and Trigger did an amazing job! 🤠🐴❤️

We love our farrier, Cody! He does such an amazing job of keeping all the Reins of Hope horses sound so they can readily work with those God sends our way. He's explaining a hoof condition here to a young Reins of Hope volunteer.

Learning about the hoof this morning.

There are many times equine assisted therapy doesn’t look like much. Hanging out, getting to know the horses, working through an exercise, a ride around the farm. But something clicks. I usually don’t hear the details but notice people stretching out of their comfort zone. I’ve heard a couple comments about the impact our horses made for people 4 or 5 years ago- how they keep reflecting back on their interaction.
It’s something about being seen, without having to find words.
The horses can get people out of their houses, bring perspective on unhealthy relationships & inspire us to be better people. I’m glad to have a front row seat

This video was a part of our Christmas Eve Service at Arcadia Christian Church. So many people often ask "How does God work through horses?" If you have 10 minutes, please listen and discover what God can do with a willing spirit and some gifted animals. This is one of my favorite Reins of Hope stories to tell. I was so honored to have a chance to share it as part of our service. Its message of truth is exactly what we have celebrated this Christmas season, and it is the Truth we need to carry into 2021.
