My faith is in Jesus Christ, not in a dispensation or anything outside of the faith of Christ. So here is a short write up.

1. Core Conviction
My faith as a Jesus follower is with Jesus and it rests in Jesus Christ โ I lived and walked the land of Jesus and attended many churches with different theological teachings, hence I see and feel the unspoken words of defining one people over others in faith.. Of course it is not in a theological system that treats ethnic or national Israel or other nations or countries as "the chosen people" in a category set apart from and above the Church. Scripture teaches that in Christ, Jew and Gentile are united as one new people of God, and that the promise to Abraham was always fulfilled through faith, not bloodline alone, it is the single seed of Abraham and not a nation or a group of individuals. So I ask you who ever you are, accept Christ as he is knocking on your door, open up and let him in.
2. Key Scripture Threads
Romans 11:16โ24 โ Paul's olive tree: Gentile believers are grafted into Israel's own root, not planted as a separate tree. The root is the promise fulfilled in Christ, not ethnicity itself.
Galatians 3:28โ29 โ In Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek; all who belong to Christ are Abraham's seed and heirs of the promise.
John 1:12 โ The right to become children of God is given to "as many as received Him," by faith โ not by lineage or nationality.
Romans 9:6โ8 โ "Not all who are descended from Israel are Israel." Paul himself limits national descent as the basis of the promise.
3. Comparison
Question
Dispensationalism
Christ-Centered (Covenant) View
Who are God's chosen people today?
Ethnic/national Israel retains a distinct, ongoing chosen status alongside the Church.
All who are in Christ by faith โ Jew and Gentile united as one people (Gal. 3:28โ29).
Root and branches (Rom. 11)
Israel is treated as the tree; the Church is a separate program grafted alongside it.
Christ and His promise are the root; believing Jew and Gentile alike are branches grafted into one tree.
Basis of sonship (John 1:12)
Often read alongside a parallel ethnic promise track for Israel.
Received by faith in Christ alone, with no ethnic precondition.
True Israel (Rom. 9:6โ8)
Physical descent from Abraham retains independent prophetic significance.
Not all descended from Israel are Israel โ the promise runs through faith, as it always did.
Risk to guard against
Nationalizing a spiritual promise; support for a modern state treated as a test of faithfulness.
Losing sight of God's real, historical dealings with Israel and Scripture's Jewish roots.
4. What This Is โ and Isn't โ About
This is not a denial of Christ's deity, and it is not hostility toward Jewish people or Israel's real place in biblical history. It is a disagreement over one theological system's claim that ethnic/national Israel retains an ongoing, separate "chosen" status running alongside the Church โ a claim many faithful, orthodox Christians throughout history have not held.
The concern worth naming plainly: when support for a modern political state becomes treated as a near test of Christian faithfulness, it can crowd out the church's calling to speak honestly about justice for all people โ Israeli and Palestinian, Jew and Gentile โ rather than filtering that concern through one nation's political fortunes.
5. Talking Points for a Conversation with Church Leadership
"I affirm Christ's full deity without reservation โ my disagreement is about ecclesiology and eschatology, not Christology."
"Romans 11 describes one tree with one root. Can we talk through how dispensationalism's 'two peoples, two programs' framework fits with that image?"
"I want our teaching to be historically and spiritually honest โ not shaped by a need to align with any nation's politics."
"Covenant theology isn't a modern liberal invention โ it reflects how most of church history read these same texts before 19th-century dispensationalism."
