from last week’s Sunday School, when we made beards to remember how old Abraham was (99) when God promised him and Sarah (90) they would have as many children as there were stars in the sky. Abraham became the father of nations and the forefather of Jesus, with countless children across generations of the faithful. We can trust God to do the impossible - all we have to do is believe God as Abraham did (Genesis 15:6) to see His promises fulfilled in our life!

from yesterday’s Children’s Moments by Pastor Miguel A. Velez: President Eisenhower’s image is on the $1 coin because we put important people on coins to remember them. God made us in His image (Genesis 1:27) so we will remember to honor and worship Him above any other on earth (Matthew 22:21). Let’s give God the most important place in our lives and hearts and follow Him to more goodness, joy, love and peace!

from yesterday’s Children’s Moments by Pastor Miguel A. Velez: Having fun on fall break makes us happy, but happiness depends on circumstances. Joy depends on God - Philippians 4:4 tells us to rejoice in the Lord always, because when we focus on God, He renews our joy every day. Let’s remember God’s goodness and faithfulness, so that God’s joy will be in us and our joy will be full (John 15:11)!
