As the day comes to a close, we gather for our first Compline of the trip.

In the quiet of the evening, we pause to give thanks for safe travels, shared laughter, new experiences, and the gift of being together.

Our theme for this journey is Wonder Fully: Awe. Wonder. Belonging. As we begin, we pray for eyes to see God’s presence around us, hearts open to wonder, and a community where everyone knows they belong.

May this week be more than a trip. May it be a journey of faith, friendship, service, and discovery.

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Pentecost Sunday

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place…”
— Acts 2:1-4

Today we celebrated Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples.

A sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house, and what seemed to be tongues of fire rested upon each of them. All were filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered for the work God had called them to do.

May we be reminded that the same Spirit that moved then is still moving today—guiding, strengthening, and drawing us closer to God and one another.

Holy blessings to the youth of St. Paul’s and Holy Trinity Parish EYC as they embark on their mission trip to St. Croix. May their journey be filled with faith, service, fellowship, and God’s protection.

Happy Birthday and Anniversary blessings to all celebrating during the month of May. May God continue to bless you with joy, health, peace, and abundant grace.

Come, Holy Spirit.

See you in Church!

Sunday at St. Paul’s ✝️

Today we reflected on the true meaning of unity — unity rooted in the love of God.

What does that kind of unity look like in the pews? And how is it shared with the world?

In John 17:11, Jesus prays:

“That they may be one, as we are one.”

“Jesus prays for oneness, not sameness. That distinction matters.

He is not praying that we all become identical. The Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father — yet they are perfectly one in love, purpose, and relationship.

So when Jesus prays that we may be one, He is not asking us to erase or ignore our differences. He is inviting us into a deeper kind of belonging.” — Mother Pauline

And maybe that kind of unity looks like this in the pews —a unity meant to be shared with the world.

Laughter after service.
Offering peace.
Conversations across pews.
Different people. Different personalities.
Yet rooted in the same love of God.

A unity that does not demand sameness — only love.

Peace be with you.
