The world threw away St. Germaine, but God loved her as His own. She was born to a farming family, but her arm was deformed, and her mother died. When her father remarried, they banished her from the house, leaving her outside to tend sheep. God, though, revealed Himself to her, and she would abandon her sheep to attend Mass each day. She never lost a sheep!

She would earn a reputation among the poor as generous with what food she had, and among children as someone to learn from. She died too young and too neglected, but God preserved her body from decay.

Today on her feast day, we pray for all young victims of neglect and abuse. May we love them as God loved St. Germaine.

Jesus' heart is brimming, bursting, overflowing with love for you. His heart beats for you - once, it even stopped beating for three days for you. Today, the Church celebrates the love of Jesus' Sacred Heart.

"In Christ’s heart are depths of consolation and love for all who turn to Him with confidence.” -St. John Paul II

What does 2,500 meals look like? It looks like parishioners packing bags side by side. It looks like kids not worrying about lunch this summer. It looks like love in action.

This week, we partnered with MUST Ministries to deliver 2,500 meals to families in need. We hope we can provide close to 10,000 meals by the end of summer.

We’re incredibly grateful to every volunteer who packed, donated, and showed up.

This past week each of our priests celebrated their anniversary! Monsignor was ordained thirty-one years ago on May 26, Father Juan Carlos was ordained four years ago on May 28, and Father Jared was ordained two years ago on June 1.
Each of their vocation stories exemplify the many ways God can speak to us. Sometimes it's a slow, quiet feeling of peace. Sometimes it's through witnessing Jesus in others. And sometimes it's a powerful, clear message all at once.
We are grateful that our clergy answered God's call, and for their ministry to our parish family!

The word "mystery" is used often in our Catholic faith. We proclaim the mystery of faith through praying the Mass. We meditate on mysteries through praying the rosary. Today we pray as a Church on the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

All mysteries, by definition, are beyond our own comprehension, but the Holy Trinity can be particularly puzzling to us. However, if we spend TOO much time trying to understand the mechanics and logistics of "one God in three divine persons," we are missing the point.

Today’s Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity invites us to focus on something we DO understand as humans: love. The love the Trinity shares is poured into and through each one of us. As we look up and ponder this mystery, may we open ourselves to further welcome God’s love.

This weekend, we celebrate Pentecost - the descent of God's Spirit to be with us as our Guide. The dove above our main entrance is a sign of His closeness, that His Holy Spirit can be found here. It's also a promise of peace to everyone who enters.
