Stewart's Tuesday Meditation: I'm not in this meditation, I'm holding the camera as 350 Anglican Musicians sing "Come By Here" this morning at All Saints Episcopal Church downtown. Click to take a listen. I joined the Association of Anglican Musicians this year so I could attend their yearly conference. It turns out it's a spiritual experience to be in a church full of musicians singing. I was unprepared. Check out the Sunday Evensong service from the Cathedral and Opening Eucharist at St. Luke's linked in the comments below. This morning Bishop Rob Wright and others spoke on a panel to the work of music in the Civil Rights Movement. "Every movement needs a song," he said. And so please join me in what that song is for us at Holy Innocents for our next movement as a church. Post your suggestions below and we will work them into our worship. Bill and I are eager to get to planning our Fall worship when our new Director of Music Dock Anderson joins us on Monday for his first day of work. Thanks be to God for all church musicians past, present and future!
