After listening to Brian Stevenson, lawyer, law professor and founder of Equal Justice Initiative today, I am recharged to moving forward to resurrecting TRUTH and JUSTICE this year!

Happy Juneteenth from KDT Ministries!! The Juneteenth flag was created in 1997 by Ben Haith Founder of the National Juneteenth Celebration Foundation
The bursting outline around the star is inspired by a nova - a new star, representing a new beginning for the newly freed slaves. The white star in the center of the flag has a dual meaning, Haith said. It represents both Texas, the Lone Star State, but also the freedom of all Black Americans in all 50 states. The curving arc across the width of the flag represents a new horizon: the opportunities and promise that lay ahead for Black Americans. The red, white and blue represents the American flag, a reminder that the enslaved people and their descendants were and are Americans.

Our hearts are broken once again. As we are still grieving with the families in Buffalo New York, we add to this bereavement the families of the BABIES and 2 teachers in Uvalde Texas! I’m done listening to folks who say we don’t need gun laws! STOP THE POWER AND GREED and pass the bill that is sitting in the US Senate! Enough is enough and we all know who you are that are strong holding this bill!!

Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit.” — Luke 23:46
Jesus shows his humanity here. He is feeling abandon by the Father. At this moment, God had to turn away from Jesus in order for the assignment to be complete. How often do we feel abandon by the Father in our own situation? At what moment do we hand over ourselves to Him to gain our peace and strength. In the moment Christ handed over his spirit, he became the Christ, the Messiah. We can remind ourselves of His peace once we release everything to Him!
