The last "What it Means to be Presbyterian" study is at 10:00 this morning. Worship starts at 11:00 and we will celebrate Communion. We will also collect our 2 cents a meal offering today.
Next Sunday our study of The Lord's Prayer begins at 10:00.
We will also have a Congregational Meeting after Worship next Sunday, August 9.
Item for PCCS for August is dry cereal and Hats for Hope items are crayons and colored pencils.

Today, we celebrate the life and mourn the loss of Rev. Roy Brewton, who along with his wife Bebe, served our church and congregation faithfully from 2004 to 2012. Rev. Brewton was a pastoral leader who demonstrated compassion, humility, kindness, the love of Jesus Christ and good humor throughout his time at Caswell. He was instrumental in assisting our Session to organize many processes in our church that we still rely on today to operate and serve God. He devoted time to youth study and encouraging the participation of youth in the life of our church. He was a member of our choir and always willing to do more than just "preach" for us. We are thankful for his time at Caswell and rejoice that we know we will see him again and that he has heard, "...Well done good and faithful servant...".
Rev. Brewton's service will be held on Tuesday, July 21 at 3:00 pm at Windermere Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. The service will be available online as well.
We pray for comfort and strength for his family during this sad time.

We had a great time today during our VBS Sunday! We enjoyed discussions, trivia, music and readings about the life of Jesus. We had lunch and completed a craft. Thanks to Sherri' Jordan for planning and leading our Bible School and to Nick Squires for hand turning our craft bowls and cups for us to paint. It was a great day of Worship with mind, voices, hearts and hands!
