Daniel kept praying, even when it meant facing the lions.

Today in C|K, kids saw how Daniel's courage showed a whole kingdom how great God is. Our Big Idea: Our courage can help others see God.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." 2 Timothy 4:7 (NLT)

Hey parents! On Sunday, kids heard how Daniel read the mysterious writing on the wall when no one else could, because God gave him the wisdom to understand it. Our Big Idea: God's words show us what to do. Try these this week:
1. Is it always easy to do what God says? Why or why not?
2. Who can you ask when God's words are hard to understand?
3. What's one thing God's words showed you that you want to practice this week?

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives." 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)

Hey parents! This week we learned that God is ready to rescue us. Try these at dinner or on the ride to school:
1. What's something you feel like you need God's help with right now?
2. What does it mean to you that God is ready to rescue you?
3. How might God help you, even when it doesn't look the way you expect?

They refused to bow, and God met them in the fire.

Today in C|K, kids heard how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted God when the king threw them into a blazing furnace. Our Big Idea: God is ready to rescue us.

"The God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us." Daniel 3:17 (NLT)

Hey parents! On Sunday we kicked off our new series, "Now You See Me" and learned that God helps us choose wisely. Daniel honored God with his choices, even far from home. Try these this week:
1. What do you think it means to choose wisely?
2. If someone asks you to do something you know isn't right, how can you be like Daniel?
3. Who can help you make wise choices?

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
